The global impact of CoVid was far-reaching and traumatic for most. One thing’s for sure, the world has been craving physical connection and human interaction for a long time. Web3 is no exception.
Since CoVid-19’s most recent transition into endemic status, we’ve been consistently investing in not just strengthening our community digitally, but also organising IRL initiatives to bring local enthusiasts and professionals together.
Within Salad Ventures, we’ve carved out a small team known as ‘Club Salad’ to conceptualise and execute these event concepts.
In our view, one of the most valuable philosophies that set Web3 apart is the importance of communities that help its members to learn, grow and thrive.
We believe that real-life communities generate even more visibility for our industry and that the opportunity to meet face-to-face leads to better connections and collaborations.
“The event was curated in a unique way whereby there are people from different companies/background. It wasn’t saturated with people from Gamefi or VC. It had a good mix of everyone“
-D.Ong , BD @ Blockoffice
Some of these concepts include:
GameFi Asia 2022 — Bringing The Best Of GameFi
More than 1,000 attendees attended GameFi Asia to listen to a star roster of expert speakers including influencers like Alex Svanevik, Santiago Roel Santos, Ciara Sun, Mable Jiang, and many more.
This was also screened live at the Experience Centre in Singapore where attendees could come to try their hand at project applications and games, collect rare merchandise and meet fellow enthusiasts.
We were very heartened by the reception and thankful to sponsors like Project Galaxy, StepN, Monsterra that supported GameFi Asia’s maiden run.
Salad Tuesdays IRL Meetups
What began as just a feel-good chill session for the team over drinks has become a regular affair attracting some of the top minds in the local Web3 scene. Graduates have found jobs, founders have been matched to investors/partners and we believe this is only the start of Salad Tuesdays.
“It’s a great place to meet Web3 people in a hypercasual setting. Highly recommended!” — T. Toh, Switcheo
Salad Tuesdays, our curated meetup event, has also become the de facto event for attendees from companies like ARC, QCP Capital, Defiance Capital, Bloomberg, Blockhead, to develop opportunities while sharing market alpha.
“Really enjoy the vibes and the facilitation by the Salad team. Quality of people is great as well.” — J. Ren, CMO @ Solanium
We’ve just hosted our 11th Salad Tuesdays meetup and even our first one in Ho Chin Min City, Vietnam. We’re not planning to stop anytime soon.
If you’re in Singapore or anywhere else that we happen to hold such events, join our Salad Collective community to be informed first.
