Through the process of building solutions surrounding necessary infrastructure in the space, it’s become apparent not just to us that the narrative around GameFi had peaked in part largely due to unsustainable incentives.

It aligned well with our overall ethos to provide various avenues for players within the space to identify new opportunities and eventually find sustainable options to earn.

Backing, not building, preserves our focus

Rather than developing these solutions in-house and diversifying engineering efforts, we’ve decided to back the team at Arcaden — a concept that fits aptly toward achieving these outcomes in tandem.

Our current view is that Arcaden’s solution to provide residual value to the ecosystem amongst stakeholders is refreshing and unique.

Salad will offer advisory resources to support the development and growth of Arcaden while monitoring the team’s progress.

Apollo to Arcaden

As our team hones in more on product development with GuildOS and Salad Academy as a core focus, we have also decided to sunset operations at Apollo Squad — our gaming guild and home to a community of more than 5,000 scholars and hopefuls.

Apollo Squad’s audience and processes will be inherited by the Arcaden team on launch, providing tremendous synergy and value to the players. We’re confident that the Arcaden team will continue surprising us with their innovations and applications.
