With the launch of the Salad Academy and more certifications being added for games, Salad is taking its player tracking capabilities to the next level.

As part of the commitment to delivering the best player experience possible, Salad is adding another layer of player tracking that will standardise the Salad Academy certification process.

By partnering with Project Galaxy, a team of developers building a permissionless infrastructure that powers on-chain credentials with plug-and-play NFT Modules, scholars will now be able to earn NFTs in the form of badges as they complete each course within the Salad Academy.

Each scholar will be assigned a new GalaxyID to act as their identity within Salad’s guild management system -GuildOS. The GalaxyID will also allow them to mint and access badges on the Project Galaxy platform as they progress through the academy for each game. As more games and courses are added to the Salad academy, players will have even more opportunities to earn more badges.

How It Works

As scholars progress through the academy and complete each certification, they will receive an email with a link to mint their newly earned NFT on the Project Galaxy Platform. Once completed, the scholar can then move on to the next course.

They will also be able to visit galaxy.eco to mint and claim their NFT. Once on the site, simply select the campaign, connect your wallet, and choose the correct blockchain. Next, the players can then claim their badge. If the campaign requires payment, they will select the option to pay to claim.

It’s important to note that players do not adjust the gas limit in their wallet when the transaction is confirmed and make sure the gas limit is set above 180,000 to complete the transaction. Players can then view their badge in the My NFT tab.

What This Means For Players

The GalaxyID will act as the scholars’ Gamefi universe identity and stay with them throughout their career as a scholar. They will be able to collect certifications and display their proficiency as they progress, and in the future, the ID may even include their scores from various games. The NFTs themselves, while acting as those certifications, could also be used as a qualification metric when applying to join guilds.

The ability to display their skill level to other players will help them know their progress as they earn more certifications and badges.
